Quantum have started work at London Road in High Wycombe to strip back and refurbish an existing retail unit, previously used by Homebase.
The project also incorporates the construction of 2 new retail pods on the same site and alterations to the car parking area.
The existing unit of 27,000 ft² (2500 m²) will undergo extensive internal demolition. New curtain walling and roofing works will be completed along with refurbishing the internal shop floor space in accordance with our client’s requirements for the future tenants. Works will also include adapting the existing amenity block and introducing a considerable amount of internal drainage.
The new pods of approx. 2,000 ft² (180 m²) and 1,000ft² (100 m²) will be steel framed and cladded with curtain walling and sit adjacent to the existing building.
As part of the project we will be enhancing the neighbouring woodland through additional planting and woodland management, including the removal of invasive species.
The combination of new build, refurbishment and ecological works is intended to provide a long term positive impact for the community.
