The contract incorporated both Cat A & B works for the building under a single contract to allow for speed of delivery whilst still maintaining a clear definition of landlord base build construction and tenant construction.
The steel framed construction with curved roof incorporated a range of bespoke tenant requirements such as testing facilities, cranes, mezzanines and full Mechanical and Electrical Installation.
A combination of ground improvement and gabion walling were used at the beginning of the contract to better utilise space on site whilst also reducing material movements on and off site.
External works included the construction of a new junction for access to the facility, associated drainage, hardstanding areas and landscaping.
The end product provided not only a new manufacturing facility and head office for Tentec Ltd but also provided a high quality, BREEAM Very Good certified building to add to the A&J Mucklow portfolio.
