Having operated a similar facility in close proximity to the new site for a number of years, the design development of the project was heavily influenced by the operational aspirations and experiences of the client.
The attractive building boasts sharp, modern detailing and is set within mature landscape in an active business park.
The steel framed building features a double barrelled curved roof and metal cladding whilst internal works incorporated an attractive mezzanine office space and a heated warehouse with painted floor.
With capacity to expand the office space in the future, the building should enable the client to have additional flexibility for their future operations.
With manufacturing equipment already on order by the client, the programme was tight to suit the delivery schedule of the equipment. The floor slab and electrical distribution was designed to accommodate both the planned equipment and also allow for future adaptions to operations.
Externally the project included drainage works, the construction of a service yard with one-way traffic system and also landscaping to compliment the existing flora.
The development provided an attractive, additional manufacturing space for Hydac, with a high quality working environment for staff.
