After previously working on the front of one of Lawton Tubes’ facilities in Coventry, Quantum have been fortunate enough to secure a new contract for Lawton Tubes replacing and refurbishing the main roofs.
Works involve replacement of existing asbestos roof and recoating their steel clad North light roof, whilst the building is still operational.
The works, which will be undertaken in two phases to minimise disruption to the client, include a large amount of birdcage scaffolding for fall protection. The new roof, made up of modern cladding, will provide a safer and warmer environment for this copper tube manufacturer and distributer.
Whilst undertaking the work we will also take the opportunity to improve the drainage systems and refresh the decorations internally.
The key to successful delivery of the project is forward planning and close liaison between our site team and the client. The team have devised methods of work to avoid disruption within the production facility and have designed the scaffold loading bay in such a way to bridge over the client’s main delivery route and avoid the requirement for complicated crane lifts and disruption to operations.
We are looking forward to delivering another successful project for the client and ensuring their building has an extended lease of life.
