Contract awarded to construct 3 new industrial buildings in Chertsey

Work has started on site, where pre-existing buildings have been demolished and ground stabilisation works have just been completed.

 

The construction of 3 new industrial buildings, divided into 8 units have been designed for use by start-up firms. The steel framed and cladded structures will have a total ground floor area of 12,055ft² (1,120m²) and include mezzanine floors with additional space. Each unit will have a loading bay with vehicle loading doors.

Externally, the project includes new drainage, service provision works, car parking and cycle parking.

The site lies on Ford Road within the long established Fordwater Trading Estate and is situated alongside the River Bourne on the edge of Chertsey. The location of the build is classified as a Site of Nature Conservation Interest (SNCI) therefore a number of environmental initiatives will be implemented as part of the project.
